Is the Non-Surgical Nose Job For You?
Does the appearance of your nose bother you, but the thought of surgery scare you? If so, a Non-Surgical Nose Job could be a great option for you.
The Non-Surgical Nose Job is a fairly new, innovative technique that can smooth out a hump in the nose, improve symmetry, and reduce nasal deformity using hyaluronic acid fillers. One of the great benefits of using a filler (such as Restylane®,or Juvederm®) to correct the nose is the ability to see immediate results and get an idea of what your nose could look like if you decide to move forward with surgery.
Dr. Karen Gaskell performs all of the injections and will decide if you are a good candidate for a Non-Surgical Nose Job during your consultation.
When scheduling, you can either choose to have treatment right after your consultation, or schedule another appointment to come back for the procedure. The procedure takes approximately 20-30 minutes in the office.
Before treatment, an anesthetic cream will be applied to numb the area and increase comfort.
Filler will then be injected into specific areas of the nose to obtain the desired result. One of the advantages of having a Non-Surgical Nose Job is that you will have the opportunity to observe the progress of the procedure and provide feedback as needed (using a hand held mirror). You may be a little red or swollen right after treatment, but most patients are able to return back to work immediately.
Who is a good candidate for a Non-Surgical Nose job?
A man or women looking to temporarily smooth out a nasal hump, correct a nasal deviation or alter the appearance of the nasal tip. A non-surgical rhinoplasty can straighten and/or create more symmetry in the nose. This can be an especially good option for teenagers who have not reached their optimal age for a surgical rhinoplasty, but would like to improve the appearance of the nose.
How long does a Non-Surgical Nose Job last?
Can a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty make my nose look smaller?
A Non-Surgical Nose Job can strengthen the bridge of the nose and narrow the angle of the tip, which makes the nose appear smaller. When the nose is more symmetrical and straight, it appears less prominent and therefore less of a focal point on the face. A non-invasive rhinoplasty can be a perfect solution for patients with an “ethnic nose” (usually seen in those of Asian or African American decent).
How much filler will be used for my nose and is the procedure painful?
The amount of filler used depends on each patient and the level of correction needed. We strive to ensure that all patients are comfortable during procedures and that pain is minimized.
