Dr. Karen Gaskell – Medical Director
Dr. Gaskell, the medical director and injector, graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and continued on to specialize in ophthalmology diseases and surgery. She had a practice in southern California until 1996, when she moved to the northwest. She currently practices ophthalmology as well as aesthetics in Camas. She began doing cosmetic injectables in 2005 at the time she became medical director of a local laser clinic.
Dr. Gaskell is certified, and has advanced training in Botox/Dysport and various dermal fillers including Belotero, Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, Perlane, and Voluma. She is also certified and experienced with the Fraxel Restore laser and the Cutera Laser .
The field of non-surgical aesthetic enhancement changes as rapidly as cell phone technology, and she can help you navigate between media hype and what procedures or combination of procedures/products would help benefit you and enhance your unique, natural beauty.
Dr. Gaskell lives locally in Camas, Washington with her husband and two children. She is a private pilot, scuba diver, grower of lavender and dahlias, and supports a school and orphanage in Africa.
Olivia Pettit, Injector
Olivia Pettit, RN BSN is an aesthetic nurse injector who offers Botox, filler, microneedling, laser treatments, and skincare recommendations. She previously worked as an aesthetic pre- and post-operative plastic reconstructive nurse for Dr. Workman.
As a working mom Olivia understands the importance of taking care of yourself first to be able to care for others. She enjoys the uniqueness each client presents and creating a personalized plan to help her clients look and feel their best! Some of her favorite non-surgical procedures to perform are Botox and lip filler augmentation. Olivia is a firm believer that knowledge is key! Throughout the year Olivia enjoys participating in continuing education courses through Galderma, HydraFacial and Allergan to bring the safest, cutting-edge treatment techniques to her clients. She is happy to combine the art of beauty and science in her daily practice. In her spare time Olivia enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, lifting heavy in the gym, and all things Halloween. She looks forward to making your aesthetic goals happen!
Shelly Snodgrass, Advanced Esthetician
A skincare savant, Shelly has spent over 20 years in the medspa industry and has treated thousands of women who are committed to self care and the best skin possible.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Shelly and her husband reside in Washougal, WA and enjoy all the outdoor activities the PNW offers.
AMANDA MCLAUGHLIN, ADVANCED ESTHETICIAN
From Kombucha Brand Ambassador to Advanced Esthetician, Amanda is passionate about ensuring her clients look and feel their absolute best!
A bright light at Camas Medspa, Amanda’s charisma, attention to detail, and caring attitude allows her to provide exceptional services that her clients can’t stop talking about!
Amanda is perfect if you are looking for a long term plan with short term results.
A wife, mom of 5, and community advocate, Amanda has been known to swim with a shark or two, host impromptu gatherings for 40+, and even fight monkey gangs on sacred land in Bali – ask her about it next time you are in!
JEN SURDAM, NURSE INJECTOR
RN Jen shares her time with Camas Medspa and Legacy Salmon Creek where she works as a Surgical RN.
Jen has been trained by Allergan and Galderma and also spent months under the tutelage of both Dr. Karen Gaskell and Olivia Pettit – our other nurse injector – so Jen knows her stuff!
Mom, wife, dog owner and Washington resident, Jen spends her free time making Kung Fu movies in her backyard, time traveling (but only to 1904) and perfecting her passion of extreme ironing.
SHELLEY ZORNADO, FRONT DESK/CLIENT COORDINATOR
This lovely lady is the newest member of Camas Medspa and the first face you see when you enter the office.
While originally from Battle Ground, Shelley always dreamt of being a cowgirl when she grew up and just moved back to the PNW from Tennessee where she roped and rode and lived life the country way.
Dreams achieved, Shelley is back in town and we are lucky to have her so give her a big yeehaw next time you are in!
SHONNA ROBERTS, TATTOO ARTIST
Shonna is the owner of and lead artist at Omnis Ink, and has partnered with Camas Medspa offering services in aerola tattooing, scar revisions, stretch mark tattooing and more.
Shonna Roberts is Vancover, WA first paramedical tattooing artist and has worked and trained with the top paramedical tattooing artists in the industry, including specialists from Oregon, England, Brazil, and Canada, who attract clients from around the world.

Hi I’m Maddie Riley! You may have heard of me as maddierileystudios! I’ve had a passion for photography since I can remember and I am so stoked to see how I can use my talents to showcase everything that Camas Med Spa has to offer!
I’ve been working with local businesses over the last 5 years to build up and connect clients over social media platforms. My eye for photography and passion for people like you makes Camas Med Spa my home! Keep an eye out for what I come up with next!

Shannon Hayes – Managing Director
Shannon has over 25 years of experience in the leadership and management of guiding small businesses to success all over the United States. In 2017 Shannon moved to the PNW from Nj and in 2020 she left her consulting business behind and joined Dr. Gaskell to focus 100% on Camas Medspa. Since then it has grown from a one-woman show to the well-respected market leader that it is today.
Shannon is also co-founder of The Bloom Foundation which has become one the nationwide non-profits focused on Maternal Health and Wellness.
Shannon is responsible for Staffing, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations. As a former blogger back when blogging was not cool – you may blame her for the newsletter, text messages, and stream of consciousness ridiculousness she injects anywhere anyone is reading.
